An easy hack for coping with end of year anxiety about your shortcomings this year

☝🏼Here’s a quick hack for dealing with that end of year anxiety about your failures and shortcomings this year

I know a lot of you might be feeling the pressure to wrap things up before switching off for the holidays.

You might also be thinking about what you HAVEN’T yet accomplished this year, and now time has run out.

And trust me, I get this.

For most of my life I had no real practice of celebrating my achievements. I was too focused on what I had to do NEXT and that list was (and still is) never-ending.

I often took my accomplishments for granted, as necessary steps I needed to take in the direction I wanted to go.

The idea of celebrating my wins (especially the smaller ones) felt unnecessary, boastful, a waste of time.

Once accomplished, our achievements can quickly start to feel small and insignificant.

Can you relate?

✍️ If you’re feeling any of this I want you to make a list of your achievements from this year - big and small.

🔔Before you brush this off, here are 3 reasons why it’s really worth it.

1️⃣ Stopping to acknowledge your achievements gives you a sense of your progress. It gets you to notice where you started and how you have grown - perspective that can be hard to see when you’re constantly on the go, jumping from one task to the next.

2️⃣ Letting yourself feel a sense of achievement boosts your mood, and gives you motivation and confidence to continue on your path.

3️⃣ What is the point of doing all of these things if we aren’t going to allow ourselves the JOY of attaining them??

Relish in it. Celebrate it 🎉

✨I’d love to know - what wins are you celebrating from this year? Send me a message and let me know!
